Meet Neo Yi Ting

Yi Ting is a passionate and dedicated teacher with years of experience in teaching Chinese. She holds a Diploma with Merit in Chinese Studies from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and later graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese with (First Class Honours). She then furthered her studies and attained a Master of Arts in Chinese from Nanyang Technological University. 

Through her years of teaching, Yi Ting understands the challenges that students face while learning Chinese. She believes that each student is unique in their own ways. She strives to support every student to discover their learning potential, hence she uses various teaching methods to create an effective and interactive learning environment, such as incorporating multi-sensory activities into lessons. She makes sure that every student is engaged in her class. 

Yi Ting feels the biggest achievement when students gain confidence and interest towards learning Chinese. She was a Mandarin Teacher at Xin Zhong Wen (The Learning Lab’s Chinese department), she has taught students ranging from preschool to primary levels. After leaving Xin Zhong Wen, Yi Ting joined an online learning platform, LingoAce as a Mandarin Teacher. She was trained to conduct online lessons, and is equipped with skills of using digital teaching tools.
